Jewish Community Addiction Services is proud to partner with Our Jewish Recovery for Stepping Into Teshuvah, a virtual Jewish recovery retreat! Join us on Sunday 8/29, 11:00am-3:30pm CDT and/or Sunday 9/12, 3:00-7:30pm CDT for learning, connection, spirituality, and fun!
We are excited to bring the Jewish recovery movement together to prepare our hearts, souls, and minds for the High Holidays and practice of Teshuvah. Now, more than ever, we need opportunities to learn, to connect, to heal, and to grow. Stepping Into Teshuvah promises to enlighten and inspire through learning, connection, spirituality, and fun. Participants will prepare for the new year ahead by exploring what it means to return to our best selves, how we can engage in the internal work of repair, and we can support others to do the same.
The retreat will feature the inaugural TeshuvahSlam. Modeled after The Moth’s StorySLAM, TeshuvahSlam is a live storytelling event highlighting stories of repentance in action. Other retreat activities include live music, Torah study, meditation, and peer support meetings.
There is a suggested donation amount and a pay what you can option. No one is turned away due to lack of funds; contribute as you are able. Please invite your friends and loved ones who might benefit from the retreat to join us.
