Join Volunteers in Action as we partner with our neighbors PRISM, a nonprofit organization that provides social services and connections that empower people in the northwest Twin Cities suburbs to build healthy, stable lives. What started as a small, informal effort has since evolved into a strong, sustainable organization that is considered a leading provider of basic needs services in the northwest Twin Cities suburbs.
Event info:
This event is a 3 1/2 hour time commitment with no prior food packing experience required to sign up. The staff at PRISM will provide an orientation to PRISM and the tasks to be done before the event begins. We will be helping to provide fresh produce to our community.
This volunteer activity takes place in PRISM’s parking lot and together we will:
Volunteering with PRISM is meant to be a safe and meaningful experience. Let us know if you require special accommodations. Minimum age is 16, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Volunteers in Action is a JFCS volunteer corps that supports organizations in the Jewish and broader communities. The program partners with organizations whose missions align with JFCS’ mission to provide essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need.
