JFCS Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis provides essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need. Service areas include: Career Services, Community Services & Engagement, Counseling & Mental Health Services, Education & Learning, Financial Assistance & Food Security, and Senior Services.


JFS – Inspired by Jewish values, Jewish Family Service of St. Paul (JFS) helps people from all backgrounds build on their strengths and meet life’s challenges. Our five interrelated areas of programming use a collaborative approach to meet the needs of our community’s most vulnerable, providing both a lifeline and a path forward.

JFS provides comprehensive programming to ensure the stability and wellbeing of vulnerable community members in the Twin Cities Metro Area, with slightly over half of our clients in Saint Paul. The majority of people we serve are low-income seniors. Our core programs include: Aging and Disability Services, Counseling Program, Emergency Financial Assistance, Community Engagement Services and Connection to Helpful Resources.


Melody Moezzi, Author / Keynote Speaker – writer, speaker, attorney, activist, and award-winning author. Her latest book is The Rumi Prescription: How an Ancient Mystic Poet Changed My Modern Manic Life, (TarcherPerigee/Penguin), for which she won a 2021 Wilbur Award. Her other books include the critically acclaimed memoir Haldol and Hyacinths: A Bipolar Life (Avery/Penguin) and War on Error: Real Stories of American Muslims(University of Arkansas Press), which earned her a Georgia Author of the Year Award and a Gustavus Myers Center for the Study of Bigotry and Human Rights Honorable Mention.


Barbara Schneider Foundation Provide mental health de-escalation training to first responders, health care, education, social services and community groups and build collaborative multicultural collaboration to prevent crisis from occurring.


FastTrackerMN.org – provides Minnesotans with real-time availability of mental health and substance use disorder services. Our free search tool empowers individuals, families, and professionals to connect with the care they need. We believe that everyone should have free access to clear and timely information. Our mission is to remove roadblocks, increase access to services, and connect communities across Minnesota.


Guerilla Haiku Movement – a traveling public art experience that sparks spontaneous connection through sidewalk-chalked haiku. Since 2011, it has visited over 80 cities, inviting people to write poetry inspired by their surroundings, share stories, and build community in public spaces.

Events blend creative placemaking, storytelling, reflection and dialogue—capturing each city’s voice through photos and poetry. Guerilla Haiku also partners with community organizations, schools and corporations for team-building and public engagement, using art to address critical issues and celebrate shared human experiences.


Healing & Restoration Consulting LLC – HRC mission is a diverse, innovative, strength-based team of professionals and practitioners who strive to empower and support individuals and families in their goals of becoming self-sufficient. By teaming together in a person-centered and holistic manner to provide culturally appropriate assessment, therapy, and life skills to further improve individuals, families, and communities served quality of life.

HRC provides outpatient services (mobile DA and counseling) , IHS/ILS services, Children’s Therapeutic Support Services (CTSS) and Adult Rehabilitative Mental Health Services (ARMHS).


Hennepin County Library – to inspire, facilitate, and celebrate lifelong learning.


Mental Health Connect – As a collaborative of faith communities, Mental Health Connect builds capacity by providing support and education to reduce stigma and improve access to mental health services.


Mental Health Minnesota– non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the mental health and well-being of all Minnesotans. We provide education, advocacy, and support to individuals, families, and communities across the state, working tirelessly to reduce stigma surrounding mental illness, increase access to mental health services, and empower individuals on their recovery journey.

Our wide range of services includes mental health education and training programs, free and anonymous online screenings, the Minnesota Warmline, a dedicated Helpline offering mental health information and referrals, and advocacy efforts aimed at improving mental health policies and funding. We also proudly support the 988 Lifeline. Critically, we focus on making our services both free and confidential, removing barriers to access and fostering a safe space for individuals to seek help.


Mental Health Systems, Inc – offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment for individuals ages 12 and up. Our intensive outpatient groups provide a safe and supportive space to learn and practice coping skills that make everyday life more manageable—no matter one’s background or life experiences.


Minnesota Alliance on Problem Gambling (MNAPG) – Minnesota affiliate to the National Council on Problem Gambling, is a non-profit, gambling-neutral organization dedicated to improving the lives of Minnesotans affected by problem gambling. MNAPG is a coalition of individuals and organizations sharing the belief that problem gambling is a serious public health problem that is both treatable and preventable.


movemindfully a training and consulting company that brings the science of mindfulness, movement, and social-emotional learn-ing into simple trauma-responsive practices. We collaborate with educational and therapeutic organizations creating environments where everyone can learn, heal, and thrive. NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) – Through education, support, and advocacy, NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity, and respect for all individuals and families affected by mental illnesses.


Overeaters Anonymous – a fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from unhealthy relationships with food and body image. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors—including binge eating, restricting, starving, purging, and over-exercising—and to carry the message of recovery to those who still suffer.


P.E.A.S.E. Academy – an acronym for Peers Enjoying A Sober Education, is the country’s longest running recovery high school in the country. We are a public high school serving students in grades 8-12+ who are in recovery from substance misuse and mental health concerns. We also run an after-school program facilitated by trained Peer Recovery Specialists that is twice a week and is open to all students across the metro who are in recovery.


Seeds of Hope Books – Family members of people managing mental health problems and trauma have been invisible and unsupported for far too long. It is time to see, hear, and include them… recognize their sacrifices and contributions… and empower them with research-based information, practical skills, and hope.


Strive Bookstore – Our mission is to celebrate the power of stories by focusing on books that amplify marginalized voices, with a significant emphasis on works by Black authors. We aim to inspire readers and authors to connect across cultures, offering a unique selection of books and literary events that inform hungry minds and bridge communities.


Walk in Counseling – To provide free, confidential, “no red tape” counseling to individuals and families in need, typically on a short-term basis. This is provided through the volunteer work of mental health professionals donating their time and advanced graduate students from mental halth fields. We hve been serving since 1969 — 56 years. We are the only program in the Upper Midwest to ever have received the American Psychiatric Assn.’s Gold Achievement Award in hospital & community psychiatry.


Washburn Center for Children – we are committed to nurturing every child and family’s well-being and full potential through transformative mental healthcare. Our team serves more than 4,200 children and more than 12,000 family members each year through school, home and clinic-based mental health services.


Wellness in the Woods – a peer run organization that offers 24/7 no cost peer support across the state of Minnesota
