Calling all 9-to-12-year-olds! How would you like to support families in your community, help the environment, and have fun with your friends all at the same time? Join PJ Our Way for “Mitzvah May” as we volunteer at the Minneapolis Toy Library!
Did you know the average US family spends over $500 on toys each year? Sadly, most of these toys will end up in landfills. Fortunately, The Minneapolis Toy Library offers local families the opportunity to borrow toys from their library, saving them money and reducing their impact on the environment.
There is a Jewish value called bal tashchit that tells us that we “don’t destroy needlessly.” Come join us as we put this Jewish value into action! We will be sorting donated toys, organizing pieces, replacing batteries, and more to help prepare the toys for families to check out.
