Join Volunteers in Action in bringing joy and pet therapy to older adults at Jones-Harrison Senior Living. Grab your dog and meet us there, where we will “parade” our way around the building, visiting with residents. This is a family friendly volunteer event.
To ensure the safety and enjoyment of all involved, we ask that your dog is well-behaved around other dogs, in unfamiliar places, with new people, and won’t be jumping up on residents. All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Don’t forget a copy of your dog’s vaccination records, baggies in case of accidents, and maybe a handful of treats!
Volunteers in Action is a JFCS volunteer corps that supports organizations in the Jewish and broader communities. The program partners with organizations whose missions align with JFCS’ mission to provide essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need.
