Its members provide a full range of human services for the Jewish community and beyond, including healthcare, career, employment and mental health services, as well as programs for youth, families and seniors, Holocaust survivors, immigrants and refugees, persons with disabilities and caregivers.
JFCS – Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis provides essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need.
JFS – Inspired by Jewish values, we help people from all backgrounds build on their strengths and meet life’s challenges. JFS offers five primary human services: Aging and Disability Services, Counseling & Community Chaplaincy, Emergency Financial Assistance, Community Engagement Services and Connection to Helpful Resources.
movemindfully – We are a training and consulting company that brings the science of mindfulness, movement, and social-emotional learning into simple trauma-responsive practices that are used in educational, therapeutic, corporate, and home environments. We offer training, workshops, products, consultation, residencies, and curricula that teach simple mind-body practices for self-regulation, focus, and overall well-being. Based on the latest research in neuroscience and best practices for intervening with trauma, anxiety, and depression, our tools include card decks, posters, books, and our new app that illustrates movemindfully Breathe Move Rest practices.

Barbara Schneider Foundation – The Mission of the Barbara Schneider Foundation is: to promote positive outcomes for people and communities experiencing a behavioral health related crisis, through collaborative intervention, and decriminalization. BSF accomplishes its mission through: education and de-escalation training, collaboration and advocacy for systems change. BSF values the consumer voice and provides leadership in eliminating the social, economic and personal impact of behavioral health related stigma.

FamilyMeans Center for Grief & Loss – The Center for Grief & Loss offers specialized therapy for complicated grief, trauma, and life transitions. All of our staff are clinically trained mental health therapists, which allows us to competently work with a variety of concerns for which individuals and families seek mental health care. Our staff is particularly passionate and experienced in helping individuals and families experiencing healing and growth from grief and trauma.

Greater Twin Cities United Way/211 – United Way 211 provides free and confidential health and human services information for people in Minnesota. We’re here 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to connect you with the resources and information you need.
Greater Twin Cities United Way/988 – The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.
Hennepin County Library – to inspire, facilitate, and celebrate lifelong learning.
Joe Davis Poetry – Joe Davis is an award-winning spoken word artist and bestselling author who uses poetry to power possibility. He is the founder and director of Finding Your Freedom Practice, teaching holistic health and wellness practices through spoken word, writing, music, theater, and dance. Joe holds a Master of Arts degree in Theology of the Arts and also heads a multimedia production company, a soul funk band, and a racial justice education program. His work has been featured on BET, CNN, and VH1. Based in Minneapolis, he tours internationally to join schools, faith spaces, nonprofits, and businesses to practice envisioning and embodying a world of collective liberation and human flourishing.

Maayanot Community of Minnesota – A Center for Healing, Celebration, and Transformation
Our mission is to reclaim and renew the ancient Jewish ritual of mikveh immersion in a sacred space that provides a welcoming and meaningful way for all Jews, and those choosing Judaism, to mark life transitions.
Marjorie Schaffer – Stories of family members who have journeyed with their loved one who lives with a mental illness.
Mental Health Connect – collaborative of faith communities who work together to destigmatize mental illness and eliminate barriers to accessing care. We believe mental health care is integral to overall health and everyone deserves treatment. Our services are free, customized, and confidential. We also work with faith communities to develop and enhance their mental health ministry through tools, resources, and educational programs.
Mental Health Minnesota– one of Minnesota’s longest-running mental health advocacy organizations, we offer free and confidential online and phone-based services to everyone across the state, along with educational presentations and workshops to foster a better understanding of mental wellness and resources within communities, workplaces, and providers.
Our Free and Confidential Services:
Mental Health Resources, Inc. – Our mission is to foster hope, health and recovery for people affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. We provide a range of mental health and substance use disorder services to people in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.
The Mental Health Work Group of CUAPB works at the intersection of mental health, law enforcement and the carceral system to reduce harm by these systems to people living with mental illness. We wrote a robust white paper on ending police-only responses to mental health crises that is being used across the country. Here in Minnesota, we wrote and worked for the passage of Travis’ Law, which requires 911 call centers
to dispatch mental health crisis response teams to mental health crisis calls. We continue to work for full implementation of Travis’ Law as well as full funding for mental health crisis teams. We educate the community about their rights during mental health crises. We assist individuals and families who have experienced harm as a result of interactions with law enforcement during mental health crisis.
NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity, and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support, and advocacy we strive to effect positive changes in the mental health system and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.
onelightsource – I am an author whose latest book, The Joshua Poems, is intended for the general public who have faced serious loss and can relate to artistic, literary expression of such a loss.
P.E.A.S.E. Academy – the longest running recovery high school in the United States, located in Minneapolis near the University of Minnesota. P.E.A.S.E. is an acronym for Peers Enjoying A Sober Education. Staff, students, families, and board members create a community who aims to: acknowledge and affirm individuals; support responsible choices that strengthen sobriety; develop each individual’s capacity to succeed; empower students to grow in mind, body, and spirit, encourage the search for a greater sense of purpose; and celebrate each day living in recovery.
Samantha Moe and Associates – a Certified Parent Coach and national speaker, empowers parents and professionals with transformative tools to help children calm, connect, and cooperate. Since 2004, Samantha has been at the forefront of coaching and education, providing advanced training and certification to family service professionals working with intense kids and their families. Through her innovative Mad to Glad Blueprint, Samantha offers a brain-and-nervous-system-based approach that soothes and prevents challenging behaviors, promoting positive communication and effective parenting.
Shout Out Loud – Suicide Prevention – to bring awareness to suicide prevention in our local community and schools, normalize the conversation about suicide prevention as well as teach coping skills and everyday activities that help with a child’s mental wellness. Through evidence-based programs, community partnerships, and grassroots advocacy, we strive to create a network of support for those affected by mental health challenges.
SpirituWell is a virtual spiritual care provider. Our mission is to expand access to high quality spiritual care. We connect people with professional clinical spiritual care providers via video visits, phone calls, and messaging. We support people facing illness, loss or grief, and caregiver burden.
The Center For Living Well with ADHD, LLC – Our mission is to be agents of change and transformation, offering exceptional ADHD coaching through our professional training and expertise as we support individuals of all ages and stages in living well with ADHD across every aspect of life.
The Twin Cities Men’s Center provides resources for men seeking to grow in body, mind and spirit, and from that foundation, we advocate for healthier family relationships and community relationships. We provide support groups, anger management classes for men, a family law clinic for both men and women and a variety to presentations.
Touchstone Mental Health provides innovative, person-centered services that foster hope, health, and well-being. Our programs connect people with community services, resources, and health care, and we provide ongoing support so they can thrive in their community. We fulfill our mission by providing services that improve mental health and housing stability, reduce homelessness, and increase self-sufficiency for the people we serve. Each year, we help more than 1,500 people regain their confidence, embrace their self-worth, and find a sense of belonging and hope for their future. We provide permanent supportive housing, case management, residential treatment, outreach to people experiencing homelessness, an intentional community and other community based services to meet the needs of individuals living with serious mental illness.
Walk In Counseling Center – To provide free counseling to individuals and families who might otherwise not have access to care, either due to lack of insurance or finances, or because of trusting traditional programs. This is provided through volunteer services of mental health professionals who donate their time and community donations and gifts.
Washburn Center for Children – leads in child-centered care with the broadest and deepest spectrum of outpatient children’s mental health services in Minnesota. With one of the largest teams of children’s mental health therapists, its community-based model is strengthened by families and children served and grounded by impact that reaches family networks, neighborhoods, schools and communities. Washburn Center is also a leader in training mental health professionals in trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
