Change in JFCS operations in response to COVID-19

Responding to Governor Walz’s press conference on Sunday related to COVID-19, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis will suspend our regular business hours at our Golden Valley and Minneapolis offices beginning Wednesday, March 18 until further notice. Visits to the offices will be by appointment only.

These efforts are consistent with community and global efforts to curb the transmission of the novel coronavirus and support physical distancing. JFCS remains committed to our mission and providing support to all who turn to us, especially at this time.

We will continue to provide critical services remotely, including by phone:

·         If you are a current client, volunteer or program participant and are in need of support, please contact your JFCS provider directly, or call 952-546-0616

·         If you are not a current client, but are in need of support, please call us at 952-546-0616, or visit our website at www.jfcsmpls.org and JFCS staff will be available to help you

·         During this time when many feel overwhelmed, we will continue to provide counseling assistance to help cope with this emergency. Please call 952-546-0616, or visit our website as www.jfcsmpls.org

Please visit our website for updates on event cancellations and postponements. We will continue to update our calendar as further information becomes available.

To assist with the increased need for service, if you would like to make a contribution, please contact Dana Rubin, Development Director, at 952-542-4803, drubin@jfcsmpls.org, or go to our website here.

With heartfelt gratitude, we thank you for your support and patience as this situation continues to rapidly evolve.

Judy Halper, JFCS CEO
