J-Pride visits the Tretter Collection & Upper Midwest Jewish Archives

Wed May 22 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join J-Pride for an opportunity to dive into the rich archives and special collections housed in Elmer L. Andersen Library (222 21ST Ave S., Minneapolis) at the University of Minnesota. We will be joined by Aiden Bettine, Curator of the Tretter Collection in GLBT Studies, and Kate Dietrick, Archivist of the Upper Midwest Jewish Archives, who will pull materials from their respective collections. There will be opportunities to view unique archival materials documenting local Jewish history, Queer history, and Jewish Queer history. Tours of the underground storage caverns will also occur, along with viewing exhibits in the building. May is Jewish American Heritage Month, and June is Pride Month — join us Wednesday, May 22nd from 6-8 p.m. to celebrate both.
