We are proud to announce the 23rd Annual Twin Cities Jewish Community Mental Health Education Conference. This event has been instrumental in bringing together people of all backgrounds to reduce stigma and provide education and support around an array of mental health challenges over many years.
The conference will be in person at Temple Israel on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 from 9am-3pm. The keynote speaker will be Sophie Riegel, a recent Duke University graduate, author, speaker, coach, and mental health advocate. She is the author of “Don’t Tell Me To Relax: One Teen’s Journey to Survive Anxiety (and How You Can, Too),” “Overcoming Overthinking: 36 Ways to Tame Anxiety for Work, School, and Life,” and “Go To Help: 31 Strategies to Offer, Ask For, and Accept Help.” She speaks all over the country to share her message about mental health and has worked with large corporations, including Netflix, Nielsen, and Audible, as well as local organizations and schools.
Breakout sessions this year will focus on youth and parents, navigating healthcare, harm reduction, aging and mental health, and LGBTQ mentorship to name a few.
Online registration for the Mental Health Education Conference is now closed. Walk-ins are welcome at Temple Israel (2323 Fremont Ave S. Minneapolis). Doors open at 9 a.m. and the conference begins promptly at 10 a.m. Please note that lunch is not guaranteed for walk-in registrations so please plan accordingly.
