Join JFCS’ Volunteers in Action on Thursday, Oct. 26, as we partner with Dress For Success Twin Cities, a client-focused organization offering high touch, high impact career and workplace skills development programs for low-income women to help them achieve career advancement, career stability, and economic sustainability.
Dress for Success Twin Cities assists individuals ages 18+ who identify as women and/or are gender expansive. Their mission is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire and the development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
Each client attending the Success Express (mobile confidence unit) event will first meet with a JFCS volunteer to share their personal vision of success and they will have a 10-minute slot to try on items from their Confidence Kit. JFCS volunteers will prepare a personalized 10-item package for each client with tops, bottoms, dresses, one pair of shoes, scarf, and jewelry. Some of the participants on the receiving end of the Success Express (mobile confidence unit) event are currently enrolled in JFCS Career Services programs.
We are looking for volunteers who identify as women, have excellent communications skills (both speaking and listening), patience, and who are able to navigate the three steps up to the RV. Click the link below for more information and to sign up!

Volunteers in Action is a JFCS volunteer corps that supports organizations in the Jewish and broader community. The program partners with organizations whose missions align with JFCS’ mission to provide essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need.
