JFCS Career Services is FREE, and we serve clients of all backgrounds. You don’t need to be Jewish to utilize our services, and we work with clients from entry- to executive-level positions. It is easy to connect with us – simply complete our brief career interest form. Our office is centrally located in Golden Valley and our highly trained employment counselors provide in-person and virtual services.

FAQs

Who is eligible? Participants must be authorized to work in the U.S., reside in Minnesota, and belong to at least one of these groups: people of color, unstably housed, justice-involved, without a high school diploma, disabled, long-term unemployed (15+ weeks), or low-income (≤200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline). Additional funding may be available for those who live within the City of Minneapolis (not a suburb) and meet the underrepresented/diversity criteria—especially if they are a woman, person of color, veteran, or have a physical or mental health disability.

How long is the program? Training typically takes 3–6 months, depending on the chosen career path and whether multiple credentials are needed. Participants remain in the program—receiving training and job search support—until they secure full-time employment in IT.

Do I need IT experience?  No IT experience needed! Our IT Pathways Program is designed for both newcomers to the field and experienced professionals looking to upskill or expand their credentials.
