Its members provide a full range of human services for the Jewish community and beyond, including healthcare, career, employment and mental health services, as well as programs for youth, families and seniors, Holocaust survivors, immigrants and refugees, persons with disabilities and caregivers.


JFCS Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis provides essential services to people of all ages and backgrounds to sustain healthy relationships, ease suffering and offer support in times of need.


JFS – Inspired by Jewish values, we help people from all backgrounds build on their strengths and meet life’s challenges. JFS offers five primary human services: Aging and Disability Services, Counseling & Community Chaplaincy, Emergency Financial Assistance, Community Engagement Services and Connection to Helpful Resources.


movemindfully We are a training and consulting company that brings the science of mindfulness, movement, and social-emotional learning into simple trauma-responsive practices that are used in educational, therapeutic, corporate, and home environments. We offer training, workshops, products, consultation, residencies, and curricula that teach simple mind-body practices for self-regulation, focus, and overall well-being. Based on the latest research in neuroscience and best practices for intervening with trauma, anxiety, and depression, our tools include card decks, posters, books, and our new app that illustrates movemindfully Breathe Move Rest practices.


Agate Housing and Services The mission of Agate Housing and Services is to end homelessness and relieve hunger through action and advocacy. We work toward accomplishing this mission with diverse programs and outreach teams. We provide a complete continuum of housing care and operate a weekly food shelf, daily public lunch (restarting October 1) and other case management services.


Barbara Schneider Foundation The Mission of the Barbara Schneider Foundation is: to promote positive outcomes for people and communities experiencing a behavioral health related crisis, through collaborative intervention, and decriminalization. BSF accomplishes its mission through: education and de-escalation training, collaboration and advocacy for systems change. BSF values the consumer voice and provides leadership in eliminating the social, economic and personal impact of behavioral health related stigma.


Braver Angels brings Americans together to bridge the partisan divide and strengthen our democratic republic. Our approach is that as individuals, we try to understand the other side’s point of view, even if we do not agree with it. In our communities, we engage those we disagree with, looking for common ground and ways to work together. In politics, we support principles that bring us together rather than divide us.


Brighter Days Family Grief Center – Brighter Days Family Grief Center provides free resources and services to people of all ages grieving the terminal diagnosis or death of a beloved family member.


Children’s Minnesota – We champion the health needs of children and families. We are committed to improving children’s health by providing the highest-quality, family-centered care, advanced through research and education. Mental health services offered: Inpatient mental health, partial hospitalization programming, outpatient psychotherapy, outpatient psychiatric medication management, psychological testing services.


Earl E. Bakken Center for Spirituality & Healing – Founded in 1995, the Center works with interdisciplinary centers, administrative, and collegiate units throughout all University of Minnesota campuses. ​​Our Mission is to advance whole health and wellbeing by providing interprofessional education, conducting research, advancing integrative models of care, and delivering innovative community engagement programs.

Our community mindfulness classes include in-person and online opportunities such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Introduction to Mindfulness, half-day retreats, and Mindfulness at Work. We offer monthly webinars on a variety of topics designed to help you take charge of your health and wellbeing. The Center also holds workshops such as Mind-Body Tools to Manage Anxiety and Difficulty Emotions (3-part series), Mental Health and Nutrition (3-part series), and Enhancing Personal Wellbeing and Resilience (4-part series) all with sliding scale fees.


Ellie Mental Health – Our mission is to compassionately transform the culture of mental health care by providing creative solutions that make wellness accessible in every community.


FamilyMeans Center for Grief & Loss – The Center for Grief & Loss offers specialized therapy for complicated grief, trauma, and life transitions. All of our staff are clinically trained mental health therapists, which allows us to competently work with a variety of concerns for which individuals and families seek mental health care. Our staff is particularly passionate and experienced in helping individuals and families experiencing healing and growth from grief and trauma.


Greater Twin Cities United Way/988 – The Lifeline provides 24/7, free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention and crisis resources for you or your loved ones, and best practices for professionals.


Hennepin County Library – to inspire, facilitate, and celebrate lifelong learning.


KardBoard House – Addressing the impact of substance use on loved one’s and within the workplace.


Maayanot Community of Minnesota – We are building an open mikveh, ritual bath, that is inclusive and welcoming to all Jews and those choosing Judaism. The ritual of mikveh immersion is a powerful way to mark life moments, and there are many touch points for folks who are at various points of a mental health journey (and their families). There are not many ways to mark such moments through Jewish ritual, so mikveh is a perfect option. 


Marjorie Schaffer – Stories of family members who have journeyed with their loved one who lives with a mental illness.

Mental Health Connect – collaborative of faith communities who work together to destigmatize mental illness and eliminate barriers to accessing care. We believe mental health care is integral to overall health and everyone deserves treatment. Our services are free, customized, and confidential. We also work with faith communities to develop and enhance their mental health ministry through tools, resources, and educational programs.


Mental Health Minnesota– one of Minnesota’s longest-running mental health advocacy organizations, we offer free and confidential online and phone-based services to everyone across the state, along with educational presentations and workshops to foster a better understanding of mental wellness and resources within communities, workplaces, and providers.

Our Free and Confidential Services:

Mental Health Navigators – No Parent Should Be Left Behind. Mental Health Navigators, a non-profit organization, works directly with parents/caregivers, educators, and community influencers to decrease the stigma related to mental health issues, provide a caring community of personalized support, and raise the visibility of resources to enhance the quality of life for those struggling with mental health issues.


Mental Health Resources, Inc. – Our mission is to foster hope, health and recovery for people affected by mental illness and substance use disorders. We provide a range of mental health and substance use disorder services to people in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas.


Minnesota Recovery Connection – We support those who are looking to have support in their recovery from Substance Use Disorder


My Health MN for Teens & Young Adults – For over 50 years myHealth has been a trusted provider of adolescent health care. We provided a wide range of health care services including primary care and mental health counseling for people ages 12-26 at a sliding-fee scale. Our mission is too improve the health of our community by providing health services and information that support all teens and young adults in making responsible and well-informed decisions. myHealth partners with school districts, community organizations and community coalitions to meet the growing needs of young people, their families, and adults in the areas we serve. myHealth is a designated ‘Essential Community Provider’ of health services by the state of Minnesota.


NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity, and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support, and advocacy we strive to effect positive changes in the mental health system and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.



onelightsource – I am an author whose latest book, The Joshua Poems, is intended for the general public who have faced serious loss and can relate to artistic, literary expression of such a loss.


Overeaters Anonymous (OA) – 12-Step fellowship of individuals who, through shared experience, strength, and hope, are recovering from unhealthy relationships with food and body image. Our primary purpose is to abstain from compulsive eating and compulsive food behaviors (e.g., binge eating, restricting, starving, purging, over-exercising) and to carry the message of recovery to those who still suffer. OA offers virtual, in-person, and phone meetings every day all over the world. There are no dues or fees for membership. Everyone is welcome.


P.E.A.S.E. Academy – the longest running recovery high school in the United States, located in Minneapolis near the University of Minnesota. P.E.A.S.E. is an acronym for Peers Enjoying A Sober Education. Staff, students, families, and board members create a community who aims to: acknowledge and affirm individuals; support responsible choices that strengthen sobriety; develop each individual’s capacity to succeed; empower students to grow in mind, body, and spirit, encourage the search for a greater sense of purpose; and celebrate each day living in recovery.


Patty Hlava, Ph.D. – AwakenPeace Healing – Provide embodied learning and transformative experiences through courses, custom workshops, retreats, and training to support mind-body integration, self-compassion, and emotional resilience.


QUEERSPACE collective – to create space for LGBTQ+ youth to feel safe and empowered to be their true selves. Our vision is for all LGBTQ+ youth to have a supportive community in their life to help them develop a strong sense of pride in who they are, where they come from and where they want to go! QUEERSPACE works with LGBTQ+ youth & their families, the broader LGBTQ+ community and local organizations to create a strengthened LGBTQ+ support network and reduce LGBTQ+ youth isolation, suicide and homelessness. Through training, education, advocacy and mentorship, we create inclusive spaces for LGBTQ+ youth from all backgrounds to be seen and celebrated as their authentic selves.


Rainbow Health Minnesota – responds to the health needs of Minnesota’s LGBTQ+ and HIV communities. We offer over a dozen services including mental health and substance use support, HIV-specific services, 50+ and older adult programs, housing, transportation, and much more.


Samantha Moe and Associates – a Certified Parent Coach and national speaker, empowers parents and professionals with transformative tools to help children calm, connect, and cooperate. Since 2004, Samantha has been at the forefront of coaching and education, providing advanced training and certification to family service professionals working with intense kids and their families. Through her innovative Mad to Glad Blueprint, Samantha offers a brain-and-nervous-system-based approach that soothes and prevents challenging behaviors, promoting positive communication and effective parenting.


Shout Out Loud – Suicide Prevention – to bring awareness to suicide prevention in our local community and schools, normalize the conversation about suicide prevention as well as teach coping skills and everyday activities that help with a child’s mental wellness. Through evidence-based programs, community partnerships, and grassroots advocacy, we strive to create a network of support for those affected by mental health challenges.


The Center For Living Well with ADHD, LLC – Our mission is to be agents of change and transformation, offering exceptional ADHD coaching through our professional training and expertise as we support individuals of all ages and stages in living well with ADHD across every aspect of life.


Walk In Counseling Center – To provide free counseling to individuals and families who might otherwise not have access to care, either due to lack of insurance or finances, or because of trusting traditional programs. This is provided through volunteer services of mental health professionals who donate their time and community donations and gifts.


Washburn Center for Children – As a community-based mental health care agency, Washburn Center is positioned to meet families and children where they are – and advocate for comprehensive mental health care in Twin Cities communities.


Wellness in the Woods – Our mission is to provide accessible, affordable, and helpful peer led resources with compassionate and nonjudgmental support and advocacy, and opportunities for those who are experiencing or have been affected by mental health and substance use challenges, to be heard. We provide peer support in four different programs: Peer Support Connection Warmline, Virtual Peer Support Network, Recovery in the Woods, and the Justice Equity Diversity & Inclusion Series.
