Career planning and job search are crucial tasks in one’s life. Our certified career development professionals can help you with every aspect of your job search, including identifying your career goals; connecting with the training you need; building your résumé and interviewing skills; and finding the best position for your needs. Most of all, they will be there for you every step of the way, offering highly professional support and encouragement.

JFCS Career Services is FREE, and we serve people of all backgrounds. You don’t need to be Jewish to utilize our services, and we work with clients from entry- to executive-level positions.

Project EM

Job searching can be overwhelming. You are not alone. We are here for you. Project EM is a national initiative bringing Jewish human service agencies together to provide FREE support to Jewish and non-Jewish job seekers. Project EM is designed to operate in a holistic manner, recognizing that each job seeker is an individual and each job search is important. Learn more

Dislocated Worker Program

The end of your job is not the end of your career. Workers who are laid off or have received notice of permanent layoff or termination may be eligible for the Dislocated Worker Program. This program provides career counseling to help people make strategic decisions about their professional futures. Those who qualify receive training funds to develop new skills, update existing skills, or obtain required certifications or credentials. The funding for this program is provided by MN Department of Employment and Economic Development. IT Pathways Career Training

Technology jobs remain in high demand. For those with an interest in exploring IT as a career path, the IT Pathways program can support you. IT Pathways connects individuals with the resources needed to prepare for success in IT jobs. Training and support are designed to build upon current knowledge and skills, moving individuals to the next level. The funding for this program is provided by MN Department of Employment and Economic Development. Vocational Rehabilitation

Having a career can enhance individuals’ sense of dignity and purpose. Vocational Rehabilitation provides personalized services to individuals with disabilities who are seeking to improve their work lives or find employment. The program offers vocational evaluation, job placement, work adjustment training and extended post-employment support. Learn more

Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP)

There can be many barriers to employment, including childcare, food security, education, and transportation. This program provides support for families to help them move toward self-sufficiency through employment. All participants receive an assessment and an employment plan, which outlines personalized steps necessary to reach this goal.

Ed2Go

Staying up-to-date and building skills is always a good idea when it comes to your career. Ed2go offers a wide range of highly interactive courses that you can take entirely over the Internet. All of our courses are led by expert instructors, many of whom are nationally known authors.
