ParentChild+ celebrates 2025 graduates!

By Chantel Jullie • ParentChild+ Program Manager

As we reflect on the past year, we are filled with pride for all that the ParentChild+ program has accomplished – both locally at JFCS and alongside our dedicated partners across Minnesota.

ParentChild+ is a free, in-home early learning program that supports families with children aged 18 months to 3 years over the course of two years. Our Early Learning Specialists visit families twice a week for 30-minute sessions, bringing high-quality educational books and toys as a gift to the family, which are designed to spark a love for learning through storytelling and play. At the heart of our work is a deep commitment to empowering parents as their child’s first teacher.

Our collaborative, family-centered approach continues to be the foundation of our program’s success. In May and June, we celebrated the incredible accomplishments of the families who completed the full two-year journey with us. Each child was honored by receiving a graduation cap, personalized certificate, backpack, and book. Parents were gifted a special keepsake – a magnet featuring their child’s photo – to commemorate the occasion.

Individualized celebrations were held during the last home visit and we took time to reflect on each family’s journey.  We marveled at the progress each child made and celebrated the meaningful connections built along the way. As our graduates take their next steps into preschool and kindergarten, we are excited for all the opportunities that lie ahead.

In 2025, ParentChild+ Minnesota proudly celebrated the graduation of 152 children, including:

  • 85 graduates at JFCS
  • 11 at Cass County
  • 22 at Promise Neighborhood of Central MN – St. Cloud
  • 13 at Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association – Rochester
  • 21 at Rice County

Congratulations to the Class of 2025!

Thank you to all our families for allowing ParentChild+ to be part of your child’s early learning journey.
