JFCS’ Counseling Department will host a psychoeducation-based group, focusing on empowering folks in their grief experience through education, knowledge, and connection.
WHEN: Wednesdays, Aug. 13 through Sept. 17, from 4 – 5:30 p.m.
WHERE: Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis – 5905 Golden Valley Rd., Golden Valley
PROGRAM: This six-week, in-person group is for those who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past two years. It is a structured closed group, and each week will have a specific area of learning related to finite loss. Additionally, there will be time for self-reflection and connections with others. JFCS Therapists Samantha Shepherd, MSW, LICSW, and Michel Rousseau, MSW, LICSW, will co-facilitate this group. Workbook provided.
Fee: $150, sliding scale available for those that qualify.
