Give2017: A call to action
By Angie Podvin • Donor Services & Annual Campaign Manager
At Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis, we know first-hand that when people have the resources and tools required to fulfill basic needs, sustain healthier relationships and ease suffering, the entire community benefits. Individuals and families of all ages and from diverse backgrounds receive the help they need from JFCS regardless of their ability to pay for services. All of this is possible through the collective and ongoing generosity of people like you.
This is a call to action. Now, more than ever, direct and sustained support from your financial gift provides the stability necessary for JFCS to remain innovative and poised to meet the evolving and critical needs of thousands each year. In today’s ever-changing philanthropic climate, once predictable sources of funding have become less steadfast and robust. Allocations from long-time funders have decreased as available funds have diminished and priorities have narrowed or shifted. Fees to JFCS incurred from third-party contributions further this loss. It must be said that in the absence of this essential funding, essential services remain essential. Direct financial giving has, by necessity, become a more predictable and vital source of unrestricted revenue for JFCS.
Please consider a gift to Give2017 today. A key measure of this year’s Annual Campaign is to increase our donor base by 132 people. Will you help us reach this important goal? Your contribution to JFCS’ Annual Campaign is a vital investment in the Jewish and broader community, and a vote promoting social change from the ground up. In the spirit of tikkun olam—repairing the world, thank you for helping to strengthen our community, one person at a time.
