JFCS statement against anti-Asian racism and violence
In the past year, there has been a significant rise in anti-Asian racism and violence in the United States, including the tragedy this week in North Georgia where eight people were killed at three separate spas. Six of the people killed were Asian and all but one were women. At Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Minneapolis, we are heartbroken by these horrific acts of violence and extend our sympathy and sorrow to everyone in the AAPI community. We stand in solidarity against racism and violence in all forms and band together when community members are targeted, here and across the country.
JFCS supports the efforts of the Multiracial Jewish Association of Minnesota, which has offered to be a connector for those seeking to stand with the AAPI community. Read their full statement below.
